Physician - OB/GYN Physician - Swedish Hospital

NorthShore University HealthSystem
United States, Illinois, Chicago
Dec 23, 2024

Job Description

Position Highlights:

  • Position: OB/GYN Physician
  • Location: Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital and North City Endeavor Health Medical Group clinics
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

What you will do:

Endeavor Health Medical Group is currently seeking a team-oriented physician to join our clinical practice. The Swedish Obstetrics and Gynecology practice is a full-service general OB/GYN group that delivers and operates out of Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital, a safety-net hospital located in the Chicago's Lincoln Square neighborhood that serves a diverse surrounding community. The selected candidate will be expected to practice at ambulatory locations located within the Swedish Hospital service area.

Our practice consists of 8 physicians who currently take day and night-float call and occasionally a 24-hour call. They specialize in providing obstetric and gynecologic care with a team-based approach. Our practice provides obstetric care for high-risk patients, in coordination with our Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, who serve as consultants. Similarly, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Urogynecology, Complex Family Planning and Gynecologic Oncology specialists are readily available as consultants.

As part of the nationally top-ranked healthcare organization Endeavor Health, we practice within the newly formed Endeavor Health Medical Group, which brings together four legacy medical groups - Swedish Medical Group, NorthShore Medical Group, Northwest Community Medical Group, and Elmhurst-Edwards Medical Group. Swedish Hospital is also an academic institution and teaching hospital. The OB/GYN physicians incorporate teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students in both the ambulatory and hospital settings. Research and community-based programming that addresses health disparities and the social determinants of health are areas of growth at Swedish Hospital and we encourage all physicians to get involved and bring new initiatives forward. We believe in life-long learning and on-boarding new physicians in a fair and equitable manner. Initially, you would share office hours with another physician, which would provide you with clinical support as well as acclimate you to the medical group. Upon joining our practice, you would also be welcomed into a new family of physicians who consider each other colleagues, mentors, and friends and who value open lines of communication with each other to provide the best care for our patients.

What you will need:

  • The successful candidate for this position will have completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency.
  • Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
