What you will do...

This position is responsible for the development of the Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) training strategy and facilitation of FSQ training.The role acts as the Subject Matter Expert for FSQ training.

Responsibilities include Setting the Standard to elevate the FSQ training program to the next level. This includes executing and continuously improving the FSQ Training & Development strategy. Additionally, the role is responsible for the development and delivery of Enterprise training modules, facilitation of internal and external training, and the management of Food Safety and Quality Alchemy training. Individual requires quality systems knowledge, ideally with plant experience. Knowledge of regulatory, customer, certifying bodies and Campbell requirements will be used to perform a variety of duties including execution of processes & protocols for training.

The position will elevate the current training program, centralize, and standardize training content, and integrate the program into the electronic Quality Management System and Campbell's Connected Factory initiative. Additionally, the position is responsible for establishing, executing, and continuously improving an FSQ competency development program. The employee will support the optimization of manufacturing Food Safety & Quality job specific training and its integration into an electronic plant floor system. The position will have a strong grasp of the principles of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and the ability to train and support FSQ teams in the application of these principles. The employee will also be responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the Food Safety & Quality onboarding program. Employee must be able to plan and prioritize work effectively and independently.This position requires proficiency in communication, training, strategic thinking, and continuous improvement techniques.

Principal Responsibilities

  • 10% of time - Lead strategic planning for Food Safety & Quality training program.
  • 10% of time - Training partner with HR Business Partner on new training models / Connected Factory
  • 10% of time - Lead Food Safety & Quality onboarding across the network
  • 10% of time - Track and trend FSQ training performance indicators, action against underperforming indicators
  • 10% of time - Initiate continuous improvement and standardization of Food Safety & Quality training program.
  • 20% of time - Develop training content and/or content identification through external partners.
  • 30% of time - Execute training content, including support of SPC initiatives.

Job Complexity

  • Collaborate with key Food Safety & Quality functions to develop FSQ training strategy and content that aligns risk, priority, and scope.
  • Must be able to effectively plan, communicate and execute training plan within its defined scope, including scheduling resources (internal and external) and conducting necessary meetings.
  • Identify appropriate performance indicators for FSQ training. Track and trend FSQ performance indicators, and action against under-performing indicators to drive continuous improvement.
  • Select appropriate quality and training tools and techniques and use them in a variety of practical applications.
  • Work with functional and cross-functional partners, including technical subject matter experts, to identify training opportunities and action to address opportunities.
  • Train in a professional, ethical, and objective manner using and interpreting applicable standards or requirements, with an awareness of legal and financial ramifications.
  • Support HR Business Partners with new training tools and training initiatives related to Campbell's Connected Factory as it relates to Food Safety & Quality
  • Define Food Safety & Quality onboarding process for new hires and provide training and mentoring as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry leading best practices and current domestic and international regulations for integration into Food Safety & Quality training program
  • Establish, execute, and continuously improve Campbell's Food Safety & Quality competency development program.
  • Train Food Safety & Quality network on Statistical Process Control principles and tools. Support project teams as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs.
  • Use strategic thinking and identify best practices to elevate FSQ training and development program to best in class.

What you bring to the table...

  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Science in technical field
  • 7+ years in Quality Systems
  • Food manufacturing experience

It would be great if you have...

  • Working knowledge of FDA/USDA regulations with emphasis on FSMA requirements
  • Technical competency in Statistical Process Control principles and their application
  • Experience in development, management, and facilitation of a Food Safety & Quality training program
  • Ability to function as liaison with external agencies as it relates to training and development.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to prepare in-depth training materials, interpret and communicate complex information.
  • Highly self-motivated, ability to multi-task and set priorities.
  • Adapts quickly and easily to change to both internal and external factors.
  • Experience with adult learning styles, a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Office environment with estimated 30% travel to domestic plant locations

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$105,300-$151,300

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
