WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB: Key responsibilities include understanding the organization's volunteer management systems and business initiatives, developing technical requirements, and designing systems for complex business logic and interfaces. The Principal provides technical guidance, helps remove blockers, and collaborates with the product team to implement best practices in volunteer management technology. The enterprise-wide volunteer management system, Volunteer Connection, enables all Red Cross units to manage volunteers throughout their journey with the organization, from recruitment to placement, engagement with multiple departments, deployment on large-scale disasters, and more. This system functions similarly to an HR system that manages employees within an organization. The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States with a preference to work East Coast or Central hours. Standard work hours are: Mon - Fri, and this position need to support off-hours releases and a rotational on-call schedule. Research, analyze, and apply emerging trends to volunteer management products and operations. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.** This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.
