Job Details

The Assistant Director Biopharma Growth Strategies position plays an integral role within Cencora's FormularyDecisions team. FormularyDecisions is a secure online platform connecting biopharma companies to their healthcare decision maker (HCDM) customers. This closed platform is available to eligible stakeholders from managed care organizations, pharmacy benefit managers, health systems, hospitals, and government payers to support their formulary decision making processes. Biopharma companies subscribe to FormularyDecisions to engage with HCDMs and access unique insights and intelligence to support their products.

Responsibilities:

This position's primary responsibility is to support business growth with biopharma subscribers to the FormularyDecisions platform. This is accomplished through strategies and tactics focused on market penetration and development, new solution development, and diversification. Specifically, the individual will:

  • Develop and execute a yearly strategic plan for building the biopharma subscriber base through collaboration with a diverse set of internal, cross functional stakeholders: Business Development, Product Management, Customer Engagement and Operations, Marketing, Compliance, and Legal
  • Provide sales enablement support for the FormularyDecisions Business Development Team, including client archetyping and targeting, lead identification, forecasting, collateral development and management, and others as requested
  • Deliver client pitches and presentations as needed
  • Conceptualize and roll out new revenue-generating services
  • Work closely with partners in Cencora's Market Access & Healthcare Consulting Value Delivery Center to identify areas for collaboration and broader business growth
  • Serve as strategic oversight or subject matter expert on client-facing projects as needed

Education:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant discipline (eg, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Health Economics, or another relevant field

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry or consulting

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry in the United States; HEOR, market access, or similar experience is required
  • Experience supporting strategy development and execution
  • Business insight/acumen and critical thinking in a complex business environment; must be creative and possess the ability to have a "big picture" viewpoint, while also driving tactical execution
  • Ability to work cross functionally in a fast-paced environment and influence work across functional boundaries
  • Excellent writing skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex material in oral presentations and discussions - executive presence is a must
  • Running day-to-day operations of projects/initiatives as the primary point of contact
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications (eg, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time, primarily for in-person subscriber meetings and conference programming
