Acara solutions is looking to hire a Materials Specialist to work with our partner based out in Burlingame, CA who specializes in manufacturing.

Summary:
The Materials Specialist will focus on supporting the manufacturing team commercial preparation. This role will engage in cross-functional collaboration to manage materials in-house to ensure smooth rollout of manufacturing activities.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Set up and maintain part inventory, including storage, labeling, kitting, material handling, and inventory reporting.
- Monitor and maintain MIN/MAX levels and ROP for production materials to ensure no shortages occur.
- Perform regular cycle counts to maintain accurate part counts and reconcile inventory.
- Reconcile NetSuite transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Production Support:
- Issue work orders in NetSuite to support production requests.
- Prepare and stage materials for production and R&D by picking components based on work orders.
- Collaborate with production teams to fulfill material transfer requests and support manufacturing schedules.
- Assist R&D with Material Transfer Requests (MTR).
- Shipping and Receiving:
- Assist with packaging and shipment of finished goods as needed.
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including materials sent to offsite storage.
- Track shipments, resolve missing documentation or errors, and address accounts payable issues.
- Procurement and Documentation: o Issue purchase orders to support product development. o Accurately complete inventory adjustments (e.g., backflushing) for work orders and MTRs in NetSuite.
- Quality and Compliance:
- Emphasize quality by employing a risk-driven approach to maintain compliance with risk management policies and practices.
- Support adherence to FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO 13485, GMP, and other applicable domestic standards
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum 10 years' work experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical device, pharma industry, aerospace) with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to lift fifty-five (55) pounds.
- Experienced with NetSuite ERP system.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Gmail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills * Impeccable organizational skills
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience with disposables/consumables
- Experience with Propel Quality system.
- Experience supporting medical devices and capital equipment BOMs.
- Experience in a start-up environment
- Experience creating, setting up, and/or managing inventory systems.
- Experience with packaging and shipping of products
