**This is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days per week on-site, and 1-2 days per week remote.**
Create and maintain attractive, dynamic, interactive websites and digital tools. This role would work across our 3 main websites (and related microsites): *Vcuhealth.org *Chrichmond.org *Masseycancercenter.org Focus on front-end development for our content management system (CMS) and work collaboratively with digital and marketing team members, designers, university web services and external partners to produce and present current, relevant web presence. Patient Population: N/A Employment Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor's degree in related field such as communications, marketing, public relations, web administration, computer science/information systems, business. Preferred Education: N/A Licensing/ Certification Licensure/Certification Required: N/A Licensure/Certification Preferred: N/A Minimum Qualifications Years and Type of Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in front-end web design and development technologies (HTML, CSS and JavaScript). Experience with content management systems (Terminalfour, Wordpress, Joomla, for example). Experience Preferred: All of the above plus: 5+ years of experience in front-end website design and development technologies (HTML, CSS and JavaScript). Back-end web development experience (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Python). Understanding of version control and modern development technologies/workflows (Git, Node.js/NPM, Webpack, Gulp, SASS/PostCSS, REST APIs). Experience with Javascript frameworks (React/Preact, Vue, Svelte). Understanding of web accessibility standards and technologies (WCAG, WAI-ARIA). Experience working within a healthcare environment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong coding, design, troubleshooting, and project management skills, as well as willingness to learn new technologies and innovate across our technology stack. Willingness to be a team player. Desire to innovate, learn and explore new technologies. Strong project management skills.
