Responsibilities
Manages the clinical functions and provision of clinical services/programming for patients in Outpatient Units. Provides direction and maintains responsibility for the quality of programming offered on assigned units, from a clinical and safety standpoint. Supervises therapy staff and maintain responsibility for staff assignments and clinical coverage as directed. Ensures needs of physicians, referral sources and other community resources are met as needed. Assists in milieu management and modeling appropriate interventions for staff to utilize with patients. Provides individual, family and group therapy as necessary and documents per hospital policy Qualifications The following are the job requirements for the Clinical Liaison: SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Minimum of three to five years' experience as a healthcare marketing representative, preferably for a Post-Acute Brain Injury Program or Acute Rehab Facility in the Austin Area. Experience in brain injury and stroke rehabilitation a plus. Able to perform clinical evaluations as requested by the Admissions Department. Clinical background a plus, but not required, can include, but not limited to: RN, LVN, SW or therapist. CBIS (Certified Brain Injury Specialist) a plus. Previous experience marketing to Workers Compensation Companies or connections within a plus. Able to travel to attend conferences as needed. Professional presence and appearance. Excellent communication (verbal and written). EDUCATION: Preferred -college degree LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current Driver's License or State issued Id. EXPERIENCE: Healthcare marketing experience required PHYSICAL/GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to use telephone keypad. Ability to hear and speak clearly with customers and employees both face-to-face and over the telephone. Ability to effectively communicate in writing. Repetitive use of hands and vision to allow for writing, grasping, and manipulating papers. Occasional light lifting (11 - 25 pounds).
