Position: Systems Support Administrator
Location: Little Rock, Arkansas
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm plus on-call 7x24 1 week in 2
Department: Information Technology

Primary Responsibility:
This position provides technical support of desktop computers, smart phones, applications, and related technology. Windows patching and updates of end-user workstations and servers fall under the responsibilities of this individual. This position is also responsible for providing Help Desk support for end users both in Little Rock and in the field. Support includes specification, installation, testing, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Help Desk support involves being on call 7x24 approximately 1 week out of 2. (The exact schedule will be determined once the individual is established in the position). Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems. The position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to end users. The position's responsibilities require independent analysis, professional communication, good time management and problem solving. Responsibilities also include keeping up with technology in order to recommend and implement solutions that drive efficiencies across the company. Work will often be performed with little supervision and requires individual initiative and judgment.
Additional Responsibilities:


  • Troubleshoot/repair hardware and software within a networked environment
  • Setup and Configure Windows computers and peripherals
  • Build images for desktops, laptops and tablets
  • Answer phone calls from users requiring assistance
  • Managing tasks through the ServiceDesk Plus ticketing system
  • Create the computer images and manage the imaging process
  • Setup and configure smartphones
  • Troubleshoot data transmissions from technicians in the field
  • Malware and virus remediation on end-user workstations
  • Administer user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD
  • Maintain a database of IT assets
  • Determine long term strategies for the end-user computing environment
  • Assist the Systems Administrators with security planning and implementation
  • Configure and Troubleshoot all computer hardware and software issues
  • Resolve issues in person, by phone, or using remote assistance applications
  • Install/analyze software applications
  • Perform preventative maintenance such as operating system and virus patches on servers and end-user workstations
  • Other duties as assigned


* Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office
* Knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems
* Windows Patch Management Process knowledge using Manage Engine Desktop Central
* Working knowledge of Active Directory
* Manage Engine AD Audit
* UPS World Ship knowledge
* Excellent telephone demeanor
* Experience with the Android operating system
* Experience with iPhones and iPads
* Experience working with a wireless carrier
* Ability to prioritize tasks and perform duties efficiently
* Exceptional troubleshooting skills required
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
* Two-year Associate Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
* Past experience working in a corporate networked environment
* Ability to lift 40 pounds
* Teams knowledge a plus
* A+ Certification a plus
* ITIL certification a plus
