Overview: The Manager, Business Development will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will facilitate the maintenance and enhancement of the Salesforce environment. In this position, you will work closely with management and team leaders from across all Inovalon Business lines.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Salesforce developers and administrators;
  • Design and implement scalable technical solutions on the Force.com platform across Sales Cloud, CPQ, Service Cloud and Customer / Partner Communities;
  • Effectively partner with technology teams to define and implement, scalable and sustainable technical solutions translating business requirements into systems, services, and solutions using Salesforce technologies with best practices in mind;
  • Work in a consultative fashion to improve communication, collaboration, and alignment amongst teams inside and outside of the organization;
  • Be the lead subject matter expert in driving the industry best practices for the CRM and associated integrated tools;
  • Work directly with the business and/or Business Analysts to clarify requirements, address and troubleshoot issues, follow up on tasks and actions needed for projects;
  • Manage issues during QA/UAT periods and remediate issues as needed;
  • Proactively identify project needs and work on project related tasks to deliver on timeline and budget;
  • Work closely with project management to breakdown tasks and plan timelines;
  • Be mindful of scope and hours available for project work;
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, product roadmaps and applications available from 3rd parties on the Salesforce AppExchange;
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement;
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer


Job Requirements:



  • Minimum of 5 years work/technical experience within SalesForce.com;
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce Security model with hands-on experience in Salesforce configuration / customization using Apex, Visualforce, Triggers, Scheduled and Batch classes, Salesforce Shield, Lighting web components (LWC);
  • Ability to develop technical performance architecture that solves most complex performance issues;
  • Ability to demonstrate strong understanding of the Salesforce environment;
  • Experience Integrating Salesforce.com with 3rd party solutions;
  • Understands project/development life cycle, Contract Lifecycle Management concepts;
  • Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude;


  • Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards;


  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills;
  • Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization;
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Desire to interact with and help end users;
  • Understanding of business and technical process interrelationships is essential; and
  • Advanced Excel skills and all MS Office applications.


Education:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:



  • Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
  • Travel for this position will include less than 5%, typically for training purposes.

Inovalon Offers a Competitive Salary and Benefits Package

In addition to the base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range
$80,000 $109,000 USD
