Job Description

We are currently hiring a Channel Lead, Travel Sports and Entertainment. This role covers east of Chicago and the ideal candidate must live on the East Coast.

*Please note that while this position is listed as "working remotely", our sales positions are field based and require you to live within the territory listed to visit accounts, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Increase availability and visibility of Boston Beer portfolio of brands within their assigned retailers to generate depletion growth while adding value to our wholesaler and retailer partners. Primary focus is dedicated to the Class of Trade (COT) channels of hotels, transportation, airports, and venue concessionaires. In addition, assist in developing the BBC Salesforce within these COT channels.

What You'll Brew:



  • Be proficient in BBC's systems and selling process with retailers, wholesalers, and team of indirect reports
  • Be proficient in beer industry knowledge, brewing, and BBC product styles
  • Hunt for new business opportunities while growing current business in the Travel, Sports and Entertainment groups while managing budgets to proper ROI
  • Utilize effective verbal and written communication with wholesaler, accounts, and coworkers including ability to deliver impactful presentations
  • Maintain and strengthen buyer & wholesaler relationships through strategic selling and superior customer service
  • Develop & drive Goals, Strategies, Objectives and Tactics for defined account base
  • Effectively mobilize wholesaler network and BBC sales teams to fulfill all BBC mandates, sell vs. authorizations/approved packages, compliance issues, focus timeframes and other key selling opportunities
  • Willingness to travel to call points, traveling to major metros and heavily dense hotel markets to work with field sales and wholesaler teams


What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • 8+ years consumer packaged goods sales experience
  • Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive
  • Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
  • Ability to travel 60-70%


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Adult alcohol industry experience strongly preferred
  • Travel, Sports, and Entertainment channel, especially hotels


Level: 5

At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $91,800 - $182,000. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for an discretionary annual bonus based on company and induvial performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance
