The Opportunity:

As the Sr. Manager - Content Licensing, Originals, you will identify and build new, exclusive, and strategic partnerships with studios and independent content owners for coproduced and acquired Originals with LG Channels. You will own relationships with content partners including leading negotiations and process management throughout contact execution, production, and premiere to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.



  • Collaborate with internal teams in the US and Korea including Programming, Partnerships, R&D, and Product to inform Originals development direction and monitor the performance of Originals.
  • Develop the strategy and roadmap for LG Originals, whether licensed and/or co-produced programming, including KPIs and forecasting.
  • Conduct frequent and ongoing analysis using market trends and platform usage data to inform development decisions.
  • Perform competitive analysis of Originals on SVOD and AVOD/FAST services.
  • Perform cultural analysis about other territories with LG Channels where the IP could travel for greater utility.
  • Develop and monitor production, marketing, and delivery timelines and communicate to stakeholders.


Qualifications:

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree required, MBA a plus
  • Minimum 10 years' experience at a studio, agency, streamer, or content owner
  • Based in Los Angeles or NYC
  • Robust content knowledge (franchise, streaming originals, broadcast series, etc.)
  • Knowledge of AVOD and FAST monetization
  • Demonstrated experience with IP, production, and distribution contracts.
  • Deep knowledge of windowing and the streaming landscape.


Preferred:



  • Analytical experience in finance, data analytics, economics preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally when required to meet with stakeholders and check in on production.
  • Ability to navigate international cultures, work across time zones
