You will perform varied housekeeping tasks to maintain Bank premises, equipment, and furniture by lifting and arranging furniture, equipment, and other heavy objects while under management. You will report to the housekeeping supervisor.

What You Will Do:

  • You perform daytime housekeeping tasks in the secured areas of the Bank, such as the security vaults, Records Management, Purchasing, Supply and the Security Court by dusting, oiling, and polishing equipment, furniture, metal fixtures, and trim; you will use mops, brooms, and scrubbing machines; wash windows; empty wastepaper baskets and notifies management of any observed valuables or checks.
  • You maintain the cleanliness of the Bank by vacuuming carpets and elevator mats, cleaning up spills, stains, etc.
  • You maintain cleanliness of bathroom by cleaning mirrors, partitions, sinks, toilets, etc.; replenish bathroom paper products and liquid soap, vacuums restroom vents, and removes trash. Keep restrooms in working order by reporting necessary repairs and lamp replacements.
  • You clean exterior premises by using vacuum cleaners, snow removal equipment, and sidewalk sweepers.
  • Set up furniture and equipment for meetings, conferences, or other events by lifting and arranging furniture, boxes, records, supplies, and equipment.
  • Perform function by emptying trash and garbage containers.
  • Fulfill job responsibilities in conformance with sound safety practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Periodic duties:

  • You may act as Bank escort for contractors and vendors performing work in Bank building.
  • You perform snow removal, grass cutting, and other outside duties at the Bank or remote contingency site, as assigned.
  • You maintain washrooms by inspecting for leak and plunges sinks and toilets as necessary.
  • You help replace burned out lamps in lighting fixtures, launders soiled rags and overalls.
  • You May assist carpenters, painters, and engineers in performing minor duties.
  • May drive Bank car, truck or van to collect or deliver materials as needed.
  • You may operate machinery such as sidewalk sweeper.

What You Have:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Housekeeping experience and training preferred.
  • Minimum two years in similar field of similar or larger facility.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read directions or instructions from work order, manufacture specifications, or correspondence.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to distinguish colors of materials, sizes and shapes.
  • Must be able to calculate quantity of materials needed to complete a work request.
  • Ability to record on work order time required to complete the job and materials used for installation or repair.
  • Valid drivers' license is required.
  • Because this job is considered a safety sensitive position, following a conditional offer of employment, a drug screen for all controlled substances prohibited by federal law, including marijuana, will be required.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and/or reach to make equipment adjustments, obtain materials, or replenish equipment with working materials; crawl over/under pipes, wires, etc. to perform job; erect or break down scaffolding; climb stairs, ladders, ramps, and steps.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to transport supplies, materials, or finished work from the work station or work truck to the delivery truck or vehicle; transport, load or unload heavy items such as desks, files, commercially packaged supplies, and other materials; and pack or remove supplies, materials, or finished work from cartons, hampers, operating equipment, or trucks at the work area.
  • Ability to inspect the quality of parts, materials and supplies for use.
  • Ability to respond to building emergencies in an expeditious manner.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time to repair or operate equipment, under noise and cramped conditions, at various heights (including the building roof or sub-basement), in all weather.
  • Ability to train and learn to safely transport materials by pulling and pushing carts, hand trucks, dollies, or electric power lifts.
  • Ability to train and learn to safely use various types of power operated cleaning, buffering, etc. equipment.
  • Ability to work unscheduled/irregular hours and/or different work shifts to provide workforce during equipment breakdowns; provide service during emergencies or when deemed necessary by management to provide the service offered by the function.

The salary grade for this position is: 3. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, and skills, and internal equity and alignment with market data.
