This position will be responsible for maintaining and operating an in-house athletic training program and providing athletic training needs to all athletic teams. Utah State University Eastern is home to many NJCAA Division I varsity sport teams including: Women's Volleyball, Men and Women's Soccer, Men and Women's Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Cheer, Dance, E-sports, and Rodeo. Reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer, the Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for assisting with walk-in services and providing coverage and care of athletic practices and games. The candidate will help sustain a comprehensive athletic training program, including the addition of student athletic trainers and potential interns. The duties of the Assistant Athletic Trainer include prevention of athletic injuries, recognition, evaluation, and immediate care of athletic injuries, rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries, and health care administration duties. The Assistant Athletic Trainer serves as a liaison between physicians, coaches, and athletes. They ensure that student athletes participate only when physically able and that any physician instructions are understood and followed. Responsibilities
