Hourly Nonexempt position - Wage: $22.00 - $24.00 / hr

Summary:

The Lead indirectly oversees the department production team in a Quality Control environment to meet customer requirements, both internal and external, while also maintaining and enhancing quality and process improvement objectives. The Lead must be able to assess and resolve technical related items and interpersonal issues with employees if necessary. The Lead is also responsible for ensuring appropriate training is provided to achieve a higher level of technical competence in their work teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure department is clean and housekeeping checklist from previous shifts meets requirements, making sure their shift completes the end of shift cleaning requirements before they go home.
  • Oversee break schedule and hold employees to their allotted break times.
  • Prioritizing what jobs will be processed next based on priority status, due date, and department efficiency. Makes individual assignments to streamline/organize workload.
  • Communicating any concerns regarding safety, throughput, or quality to supervisor or appropriate manager.
  • Communicates relevant information from management to the employees on their shift.
  • Communicate with maintenance and chem. lab when there are issues in the department that need their attention and elevating the communication to a supervisor or manager level if the issue is not resolved to their satisfaction within a reasonable time.
  • Ensures all department processes and company policies are followed in their department on their shift.
  • Refer employees for disciplinary action when needed to supervisor.
  • Assist supervisor with evaluating employee performance on their shift.
  • When applicable, perform supervisor responsibilities in their absence.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer hardware and/or software programs. An individual must be able to apply this knowledge as needed. An individual must have knowledge of FastTrak and Microsoft Excel.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
