SALARY RANGE: $114,441 - 159,591 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)

Nokia of America Corporation, Customer Focused Test Engineer (Multiple Positions), Raleigh, NC. Prepare Customer Focus Test plans, Test strategy documents and executing tests to validate the standard and proprietary OMCI MEs (Managed Entities) developed by Nokia on different types of NOKIA ONTs (optical network terminals). Perform customer focus testing on NOKIA ONTs and OLTs, with cross functional teams across the organization which includes System Integration, verification, planning, design, and execution. Validate end-to-end customer scenarios on Nokia GPON/NGPON2 networks with 3rd party optical line terminal (OLT). Perform customer specific Software upgrades, software migration, LRM migration using Nokia proprietary Access Management System (AMS). Create, modify, delete bulk configuration profiles using Access Provisioning Center (APC), establishing and validating Nokia Wi-Fi cloud solution. Perform security testing and alarms, timing and synchronization, redundancy, call flows, services, and any customer/country specific tests if necessary. #LI-DNI

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience. Or a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience with the following: L2 and L3 Networking protocols; GPON (Gigabit Ethernet passive optical network), XGPON (asymmetrical 10G-passive optical network), XGSPON (symmetrical 10G-passive optical network), NGPON2 (Next-Generation Gigabit Ethernet passive optical network) technologies; ITU-T G.988 standard; RG-ONTs (Residential Gateway Optical Network Terminals), SFU-ONT (Single Family Unit- Optical Network Terminals) and Optical Line Terminals 7342,7360; and Scripting Language: PYTHON.

Domestic travel up to 30% required.

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Raleigh, NC may be permitted up to 60%.
