ACARA Solutions and our client in McLeansville, NC have a contract to hire position Geospatial System Engineer
Active DoD clearance is required
- As an engineer, you'll be a cross-functional team member responsible for developing and maintaining command and control and data processing systems.
- You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and implementing geospatial solutions on programs supporting our national security.
- 2 years of experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing GIS and database solutions.
- 2 years of experience with geospatial analysis and implementation.
- 2 years of experience with the ArcGIS suite of products.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or GIS or Mathematics or Science or Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing GIS and database solutions.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with geospatial analysis and implementation.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with the ArcGIS suite of products.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or GIS or Mathematics or Science or Engineering.
- Agile experience.
- Experience creating Python tools, JavaScript applications, and Java.
- Experience with source code management tools like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Ability to maintain and update DBMSs
- Familiarity with setting up and working in ArcGIS Enterprise in a virtual environment.
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment.
- Comfortable presenting recommendations and technical solutions to clients.
- Has a passion for growing and mastering new skills, keeps up to date with new tools and techniques, identifies and implements system improvements, and mentors teammates.
