ACARA Solutions and our client in McLeansville, NC have a contract to hire position

Geospatial System Engineer

• As an engineer, you'll be a cross-functional team member responsible for developing and maintaining command and control and data processing systems.
• You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and implementing geospatial solutions on programs supporting our national security.
  • 2 years of experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing GIS and database solutions.
  • 2 years of experience with geospatial analysis and implementation.
  • 2 years of experience with the ArcGIS suite of products.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or GIS or Mathematics or Science or Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing GIS and database solutions.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with geospatial analysis and implementation.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with the ArcGIS suite of products.

Preferred Skills:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or GIS or Mathematics or Science or Engineering.
• Agile experience.
• Experience creating Python tools, JavaScript applications, and Java.
• Experience with source code management tools like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Ability to maintain and update DBMSs
• Familiarity with setting up and working in ArcGIS Enterprise in a virtual environment.
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment.
• Comfortable presenting recommendations and technical solutions to clients.
• Has a passion for growing and mastering new skills, keeps up to date with new tools and techniques, identifies and implements system improvements, and mentors teammates.

Additional Information:

• Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
