The Director, Carrier Sales can be based virtual/remote within Segra's footprint.

Job Summary

Manages all aspects of Wholesale business for all of the business relationships with Carriers, LECs, IXCs, Data Centers, Resellers, CLECs, ISPs, WISPs, Cable, International Providers, Content, REITs, MPLS providers, FiberCOs, etc.

Duties & Responsibilities



  • Directs the day to day efforts of a team of Sales Managers who are responsible for being the face of Lumos to our customer. Driving for the activity that creates new revenue opportunities for Lumos Networks that are profitable & strategic and thus enabling the Sales Manager to close those opportunities. Directs Sales Manager on all internal & external communications as well as on quota attainment of the organization.
  • Managing Salesforce.com to enable opportunity management, funnel management, new building adds, business cases, ICBs and sales reporting.
  • Gains approval for financial, operational, legal and revenue initiatives as they pertain to the Carrier End User (CEU), Transport and FTTC re-sale part of the Lumos wholesale business, providing necessary sponsorship of those initiatives and gaining resolution in a timely manner within which the Lumos Sales Manager can operate their business.
  • Maintains a Business Development focus to identify, explore & advance on new relationships that drive additional business/revenue, additional customers/prospects, revenue replacement, & new talent within the telecommunications industry.
  • Sales Training
  • Creating/updating sales presentation materials, OnNet/Nearnet Building lists, Network mapping & organizing Trade shows


Qualifications



  • Experience - 15 years minimum telecom; 10 years wholesale telecom
