Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-orientedSenior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in day-to-day accounting, experience collaborating with external auditors, and a proactive approach to process improvement. A CPA certification is highly desirable, and public accounting experience is a significant advantage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Accounting Functions: Perform daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Prepare and review financial statements, consolidated financial reporting, and reports for management. Review work completed by Staff Accountant for accuracy. Completing financial analysis for variances, discrepancies, and identifying business drivers to make informed decisions. Serve as a point of contact for external auditors, facilitating audit processes and providing required documentation. Support internal audit activities and ensure adherence to internal controls. Work closely with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis, tax preparation, and operations. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff as needed. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Active CPA certification with 4-6 years of experience working in public accounting with the Big4 or regional accounting firm(s) and/or a publicly traded organization(s). Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Master's degree or MBA preferred. Bachelor's degree is a minimum educational requirement for this position andcannotbe waived. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Great Plains). Strong understanding of GAAP. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
