Company Overview:
Our client is an established Studio, known for producing and distributing top-tier content (TV/film, documentaries) across various streaming platforms. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated FP&A Manager to join our finance team. This role will support the company's financial planning and analysis efforts while leveraging advanced modeling techniques and data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI to deliver key insights and drive strategic decision-making.

Job Summary:
The FP&A Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the company. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial modeling, experience with Tableau and Power BI implementations, and a passion for working in the entertainment industry. This role will partner with senior management to provide actionable insights into the company's financial performance, with a focus on building and maintaining dashboards that deliver real-time financial data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes to ensure alignment with company goals and growth targets.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to evaluate business performance, investment opportunities, and project profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, operations, and senior leadership, to provide financial insights that inform key business decisions.
  • Create and manage detailed financial reporting, including variance analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trend analysis.
  • Design and implement data visualizations using Tableau and Power BI, ensuring real-time access to financial data and actionable insights.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of regular financial dashboards for internal stakeholders, providing transparency into business performance.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis for special projects, including financial modeling for new production initiatives or potential investments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis, optimizing the use of technology and automation tools.
  • Assist in month-end and quarter-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
  • Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to ensure alignment of financial data across departments.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior FP&A staff, ensuring the development of financial modeling and analytical skills within the team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the TV/film production industry.
  • Strong experience in financial modeling, including forecasting, valuation, and scenario analysis.
  • Expertise in data visualization and dashboarding using tools like Tableau and Power BI, with a track record of successful implementation and deployment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex functions, macros, and pivot tables.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, KPIs, variance analysis, and business performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of the TV/film production industry and the financial dynamics that drive the business.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments, presenting financial data in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
