Job Description

Leads and guides Plumbers in the performance of duties. Performs all functions of Plumber A.

Job Responsibility

*1.Leads and guides Plumbers in the performance of duties.
**Participates in orientation and ongoing training of staff.
**Assists in prioritizing and assigning work based on workflow fluctuations.
**Handles and/or acts as a resource for difficult or complex Plumbing issues.
*2.Performs all functions of a Plumber A including, but not limited to:
**Installs, maintains and replaces water, gas, steam, air, waste and vent, drainage and vacuum systems.
**Provides guidance and instructions to plumbers and other personnel assigned to projects.
**Recommends and/or prepares purchase requests.
**Serves as a member of Fire Response Team.
**Assists contractors in shutdown of services and utility systems.
3.Performs related duties as required.

Job Qualification

1.High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
2.Minimum of five (5) years experience as a Plumber, required.
3.FDNY Certificate of Fitness G60: Torch Use of Flammable Gases, required.
4.Certificate of Fitness F-60 - Fire Guard for Torch Operations, required.
5.Certificate of Fitness for Supervision of Piped Non-Flammable Medical Gases (G-71), required.
6.Valid Driver's License, required.
7.Ability to utilize portable and stationary power tools of the trade and read blueprints.
8.Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
