Role Description:

Technology Strategy and Architecture Financial Analyst Intern

Location: Parsippany, NJ or US Remote

Position Summary:

The Zoetis Technology Strategy & Architecture team is looking for a Financial Analyst Intern to analyze, manage, and report on financials for our technology portfolio and run cost for monthly operating processes, run analytics on financial data and perform forensics for solving issues with IT spend data.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage data loading into financial data repository and reporting tool
  • Prepare reports analyzing data gaps in budgets and forecasts and assist in the remediation of gaps
  • Partner with finance leads of various ZTD Towers to collect and input data into financial management tool
  • Assist in building financial reports and modeling to provide a detailed analysis of IT spend by month
  • Support new special projects in Apptio tool, including assisting in building financial allocation model and new reporting mechanisms for use by IT tower owners
  • Support required month end reporting, coordination of month-end analysis with ZTD Towers
  • Management of data cleansing initiatives and reporting as required
  • Support functional testing

Education & Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a college program for one of the following disciplines: data analytics, management information systems, computer science, or finance with a focus in business analytics

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to manipulate, analyze, and interpret complex financial datasets
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Experience with PowerBI a plus
  • Foundational knowledge of financial concepts and terms, including debits/credits, ledgers, and expense types (operating vs. capital)
  • Ability to operate across multiple programs, business areas, and portfolios
  • Must be highly analytical and inquisitive with strong organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and ability to meet monthly deadlines and goals
  • Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, ability to work in a team-based, continuous improvement environment, ability to deal with ambiguity

The following hourly pay rates reflect the anticipated base pay for this position:

If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Associate-level degree: $16.00 per hour

If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Undergraduate-level degree: $20.00 per hour

If the selected candidate is a student pursing a Graduate-level degree: $32.50 per hour

If the selected candidate is a student pursuing a Doctorate-level degree: $36.00 per hour

The following hourly pay rates reflect the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Illinois (Chicago area), Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington (Seattle area):

Student pursuing an Associate-level degree: $17.00 per hour

Student pursuing an Undergraduate-level degree: $22.00 per hour

Student pursing a Graduate-level degree: $36.40 per hour

Student pursuing a Doctorate-level degree: $40.30 per hour
