Brief Description:

This role is part of our HRIS team and is responsible for providing both strategic guidance and tactical support in the administration and support of policies, procedures, and systems. This role supports the daily operation of HCM through the evaluation and analysis of HR systems and business processes while maintaining accurate HR data.

The successful candidate will: set high standards of performance for themselves and others; be professional in written, verbal and personal actions in any situation; seek new knowledge and experiences; focus on the smallest of details and understand how they relate to overall system performance and business processes. They will understand that both the technical and user-facing sides of the system is imperative and have an in-depth knowledge of HR-related software and databases. This role performs under the Manager of HRIS.

Detailed Description:



  • Provides first level of support for Oracle HCM production support through research and resolution of system related issues
  • For unresolved issues or configuration needs, this role is responsible for opening and tracking all Service Now tickets as submitted, providing detailed feedback to our Managed Services team, and conducting all UAT testing
  • Collaborate with Business Process Owners to develop the appropriate solution, document overall results and provide support for updates being migrated to Production
  • Partners with our Managed Services team to review quarterly release new features, known issues and bug fixes and provide feedback to the Business Process Owner as appropriate
  • Responsible for system testing and follow-up on failed test scripts during quarterly releases.
  • Maintain and update test scripts related to Oracle HCM processes.
  • Develop and maintain training documents and module process guides for system testing and training
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance of Oracle HCM HR systems relative to laws, PTEN policies and PTEN security requirements. Report findings as appropriate
  • Identify data discrepancies across Oracle HCM HR applications
  • Monitor system performance and identify process areas that need improvement
  • Create or edit custom reports as approved
  • Maintains and validates PTEN security roles and verifies Segregation of Duty requirements as per Internal Audit requirements
  • Serves as the HR Admin team providing system corrections, edits, data loads, etc. that require higher level system access
  • Corrects and updates HR data on request
  • Other duties as may be assigned


Job Requirements:



  • Excellent Computer Skills, ability to run reports and complete analysis
  • Experienced in MS Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and identify variables in changing situations
  • Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment when facing real-time situations consistent with Company values, expectations, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills which include the ability to speak write and listen in a manner that clarifies issues, promotes closure, and delivers information clearly and concisely to facilitate sound decision-making
  • Ability to complete investigative reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to prepare and present HR initiatives and programs to audiences including both management and employees
  • Ability to maintain Company and employee confidentiality at all times; handle sensitive employee information and protect Company proprietary information in an appropriate manner
  • High level of energy needed for a fast-paced environment where multiple initiatives are happening simultaneously


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years of experience in HRIS or related HR area
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
  • Familiarity with HR policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organization needs and goals


Preferred Qualifications



  • 5+ years of experience in HRIS
  • 2 years of experience working with Oracle HCM
  • Experience in SQL, PL/SQL, Fast Formula, BI Reports, BI Analytics, HCM Extract


Additional Details:

Work is primarily in a climate controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone, and other office equipment. May include travel to other Company offices. Employees will be expected to properly use designated personal protective equipment (PPE) as may be required.
