Genesis10 is currently seeking a Big Data Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Iselin, NJ. This is a 9+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Collaborate on moderately complex initiatives within Software Engineering, supporting planning and deliverables for large-scale projects Design and implement data movement processes to integrate and optimize various data sources Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes and system workflows Create and manage job scheduling workflows to support efficient data processing and system integration Ensure smooth deployments of database components across development, testing, and production environments Work closely with cross-functional teams to align deliverables with business and technical requirements Analyze and troubleshoot complex data and system issues, providing effective resolutions Required Qualifications: 4+ years of Software Engineering experience through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education Proficiency in Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Python/Scala and Autosys, supporting trade and market surveillance teams Strong T-SQL skills for stored procedures, data manipulation, and optimization Hands-on experience designing and developing ETL solutions and scheduling processes using AUTOSYS JIL 3+ years of experience with Agile tools and methodologies Pay Range: $50-$60 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
