Job Title: Repack Supervisor

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Department: Distribution

Summary: Repack Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and accurate operation of the Repack area, as well as the organization and management of all repack activities.

Duties and Responsibilities: The Repack Supervisor has responsibility for the general Repack activities, as well as the expectation of developing and supervising the team members in those areas. Duties and responsibilities subject to change based on company needs.

  • Oversees all activities associated with the repack duties. Ensure accurate identification of goods, and properly communicating any issues and / or inaccuracies.
    • Ensures all team members are following the Repack Standard Operating Procedure and auditing for accuracy.
    • Ensure all team members are labelling the containers correctly with accurate weights.
    • Aligns with other supervisors regarding workload planning.
    • Ensures all the repack activities are conducted on schedule and accurately to support all areas of the business.
    • Ensure all team members are following the proper closure instructions.
    • Control the movement of personnel to ensure the entire team is cross-functional to complete all tasks necessary in the Repack area.
    • Maintains accurate material and package inventory of the Repack location.
    • Ensure all housekeeping tasks are followed according to schedule.
    • Ensures team is effectively trained to support all functions required within department.
    • Aligns with Warehouse Manager regarding workload, team efficiency, resource needs, and risk of not meeting daily / weekly goals.
    • Communicate with multiple department leaders that are related to any Repack function.
    • Perform performance evaluations on team members.
    • Approve and coordinate. schedules and vacations of team members.
    • Handle employee lifecycle for the team including partnership with hiring, firing and direct management of disciplinary actions.
    • Monitor workload reports and assign workload to team members.
    • Ensure Team members trainings are completed timely.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training.

Language Ability:

Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and skills needed to effectively utilize Microsoft Office, Outlook, inventory/database software and the internet. Necessary skills include but are not limited to; contact management systems, database software, design software, spreadsheet and word processing software.
