Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, support and deploy custom web applications Refine business requirements with business analysts/product owners to support the technical design process and develop software applications Research and evaluate software related technologies and products Design and develop testing and maintenance procedures and activities Develop and write high quality code that meets business requirements Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues Create software documentation and update existing documentation Participate in implementing technical infrastructure Work with vendors on 3rd party solutions Implement best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies Ensure compliance with documented software processes throughout the life cycle of existing and new software products Work on all layers of Rich Client Web applications Keep up to date on current and upcoming features in relevant products and platforms Requirements: 5 years of hands-on experience developing applications using Angular, majority in 8+ and ReactJS 1-2 years of Python experience Experience with consuming SOAP/XML and REST based services HTML5/DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript Good understanding of how web-based applications work, end to end Familiarity with SQL and Oracle DB OOP/OOAD/Solid Design Principles Experience with setting up CI/CD, Developer tools: Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, Jira, Maven, Gradle, Ant Web caching technologies, server caching technologies Agile Methodologies SOAP UI/Postman/ARC Tableau CSS JavaScript Desired skills: Experience with Nextjs, Vue, Svelte Web and Application Servers - Apache Tomcat/JBOSS/Web Logic/WebSphere/Glassfish Java/J2EE, Web Technologies like JPA/Hibernate, Servlets, Spring Framework (Boot, MVC, Security and Batch) Basic Database operations on RDBMS like Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL Service integration knowledge with MuleSoft Web API, Web Services(WCF SOAP REST), MVC, XML/JSON Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making capabilities Team player with the ability to work in a fast paced environment Resourceful, keen and self-motivated Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
