Summary of Job Duties:We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Student Worker to assist with developing, managing, and growing our department's social media presence. The ideal candidate is familiar with popular social media platforms and passionate about engaging with online communities. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/ institution policy. Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Current UA Little Rock eligible student.

  • Must have proof of award of federal work-study.

  • Eligible to legally work up to 20 hours per week in the United State

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Carry a minimum of 8 academic credits and have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative grade point average.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and curating content for department social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).

  • Schedule and post regular content, ensuring brand consistency.

  • Monitor engagement (comments, messages, etc.) and respond to followers in a timely manner.

  • Track and report on key social media analytics (likes, shares, reach, etc.).

  • Research trends and suggest new ideas for social media campaigns.

  • Support department events by capturing live content (photos, videos) as needed.

  • Perform other duties related to social media management as assigned.

  • Attend and assist with the university career services events.

  • Attend training sessions as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).

  • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) and video editing is a plus.

  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Adequate in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Creative, adaptable, and willing to learn.
