This opportunity is in the Human Resources Department.

The Human Resources department is responsible for key areas typically associated with HR, such as talent acquisition, learning and development, payroll, employment law compliance, and performance management. This role combines program administration with employee support and education to help our team members maximize their benefits and thrive.

As a Benefits Administrator, you will be the primary point of contact for employees and leadership regarding leave of absence and ADA requests, benefits education, and program coordination. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while maintaining the high standards of service our employees deserve. Reporting directly to the Director, Benefits, you will collaborate with various teams to enhance employee understanding and utilization of benefits offerings and wellness programs.

Key Responsibilities



  • Extended Leave & ADA Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for employees and leadership regarding extended leave of absence and ADA requests (e.g., FMLA, STD, LTD, and internal leave programs) in compliance with federal, state, local laws, and company policies. Ensure timely review and appropriate record-keeping through third-party vendors.
  • Benefit Program Administration: Assist in administering employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans. Develop and deliver workshops and resources to educate employees about maximizing their benefits.
  • Communication & Material Development: Collaborate with the Director, Benefits, and Corporate Communications team to design and distribute benefits materials such as Total Rewards Guides, Total Rewards Statements, and internal benefits portal content.
  • Compliance & Audits: Support audits, legal disclosures, and documentation for benefit plans, including Non-Discrimination testing and Medicare filings. Ensure all documentation is current and compliant with regulations.
  • Wellness Program Support: Assist in implementing wellness activities and administering wellness platforms as part of the Employee Wellness Committee.
  • Stay Informed: Maintain knowledge of benefit trends and pending regulations impacting employer-sponsored programs to ensure continued compliance and relevance of offerings.



JOB QUALIFICATIONS:



  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 or more years of experience in benefits administration or a related role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter with strong initiative, capable of independently identifying needs, proposing solutions, and taking proactive steps to achieve goals without direct oversight.
  • Detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with employees in an empathetic, compassionate, and sensitive manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Advanced experience using automated systems to administer benefit programs, and strong working knowledge of current technologies.
  • Highly proficient and fully functional in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Certified Benefits Profession (CBP) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) Designation a plus
  • The ideal candidate for this role must be able to work onsite in the St. Louis Corporate Office at least 90% of the time to effectively address the in-person needs of employees.

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
