Job Summary

The Clinical Supervisor will work closely with the Program Director to support the implementation of on-site supportive services in two PSH locations in the Tenderloin managed by our partners from DISH. The Clinical Supervisor will lead clinicians in providing a high caliber of services to program participants and to meeting our program objectives. The incumbent will also facilitate intakes and the assignment of referrals. Coordinating service delivery, training opportunities and consultation with our community partners is also a function of the Clinical Supervisor. The Clinical Supervisor needs to work collaboratively with core partners, DISH, DPH and HSH as well as a robust network of community providers and facilitate regular meetings to ensure collaboration and coordination. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for recruitment, screening, hiring and onboarding new staff to our program and providing at least one hour of clinical supervision per week to each staff member. The Clinical Supervisor will provide direct services to residents, individual and group treatment, crisis intervention, community activities and celebrations, and collaboration and consultation with our team and partners. The Clinical Supervisor must demonstrate commitment to anti-racism and be able to lead the team in ensuring that our policies and practices reflect our values of social justice and anti-racism. The Clinical Supervisor will work with the Program Director to ensure compliance, quality management and other duties as assigned.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $111,000 - $166,600 (Annual Rate).

Department Description

The Division of Citywide Case Management Programs provides comprehensive outpatient treatment to San Franciscans suffering from a range of mental health issues, often complicated by substance abuse and/or chronic medical conditions. The mission of the division is to help clients recover prior functioning while reducing reliance on acute services and facilitate transitions from ZFGH psychiatric inpatient, jails, or other institutions to the community. The Citywide Supportive Housing Programs provide targeted case management and nursing services to PSH residents in SF to support housing retention, recovery and community building.

The Citywide Supportive Housing program's mission is to support residents living in four Permanent Supportive Housing SROs in San Francisco's Tenderloin. The program's mission is to help residents maintain housing and support their recovery with comprehensive clinical and case management services. Funding comes from the SF Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (DHSH). This is a Housing First program that adopts Harm Reduction practices.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited school of social work, possession of a clinical social worker license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners, and minimum five years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
• Two years working with severely mentally ill adults, the homeless and dual diagnosed populations.
• Three years' supervisory/lead experience
• One year experience doing community based case management and the ability to do outreach to resident units.
• Knowledge of psychiatric service operations and ability to apply concepts in an acute care setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with populations that is diverse in gender, sexual orientation, and ethnicity.
• Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others. Ability to work in a high stress, high volume area and work well under pressure and with deadlines. Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately; detail oriented. Able to efficiently prepare written summaries of activities, set priorities and complete reports within required time frames. Knowledge of medical and/or psychiatric terminology.
• Two years working with severely mentally ill adults, the homeless and dual diagnosed populations.
• Ability to work with clients and program staff from diverse cultural and social class backgrounds
• Ability to ensure patient care service standards are consistently met; assists staff with managing challenging patient interactions with sensitivity and skill.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years' experience working with individuals actively involved in the criminal justice system
• Knowledge of medical center, HR and UC policies and processes. Knowledge of relevant psychiatric health services internal policies and external regulations.
• Licensure as a LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

License/Certification

• Licensure as a LCSW or LMFT or LPCC from the Board of Behavioral Sciences Examiner.
