Job Summary

The anticipated duration of this temporary assignment is approximately 6 months.

The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) at UCSF, comprising 20 interdisciplinary programs, facilitates clinical and translational research to improve patient and community health. Among these programs is CTSI's Participant Recruitment Program (PRP), which develops tools, infrastructure, and resources to support participant recruitment at UCSF, emphasizing diverse, representative populations. The program connects with campus and community stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet the needs of the diverse research enterprise. This position provides operational support for the PRP electronic health record recruitment and social media services. This is a 50% position.

  • Onboarding Studies to PRP Services
    • Support study onboarding to PRP services, ensuring smooth integration and setup.
    • Manage workflow and track study progress using project management platforms (Salesforce, OpenAir, Asana, etc.).
    • Submit and follow up on service tickets for study onboarding and issues.
  • Study Team Support and Communication
    • Advise study teams on logistics, policies, and processes.
    • Review IRB protocols to ensure compliance with program policies.
    • Communicate updates and provide ongoing support to study teams.
  • Data Management and Record Keeping
    • Maintain study recruitment records and ensure data accuracy.
    • Update billing records and manage related operations.
  • Issue Troubleshooting
    • Troubleshoot basic issues related to program processes and study operations.
  • Program Operations Support
    • Assist in general program operations, including communications and metrics reporting.
    • Update and maintain relevant program documentation.
  • Autonomous Work & Process Adherence
    • Work autonomously, following established processes for program activities.
    • Analyze issues, gather and evaluate data, and make sound recommendations for improvement.

    • Exhibit a positive and energetic attitude.
    • Display high motivation and flexibility to manage multiple projects.

Department Description

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.

Required Qualifications

Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs. Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality. Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail. Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.
