As a Senior Operations Accounting Analyst, Lake Charles,you will have ownership of all things operations accounting and cost management for the Lake Charles, LA Silica manufacturing site. You will also support ad hoc requests across the Qemetica Silicas business. You will report to the Silica Finance Director. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly closing procedures and account reconciliations. Analyze and prepare account reconciliations to identify trends and ensure accuracy of the account balances. Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis on an ongoing basis to service manufacturing and business leadership. Help facilitate and perform re-costing and analyze results to understand real-time cost changes. Support the plant manager and the leadership team with understanding results, proactive cost actions, capital investment analysis, and other ad-hoc tasks. Oversee inventory accounting and physical inventory financial practices for the plant. Help with SOX audit compliance and other issues raised by internal and external audit. Support the Silica Finance Director and Sales Director. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field with 4+ years of experience. Outstanding Excel knowledge required.
