Foley Equipment is the authorized Caterpillar dealer in Kansas and NW Missouri. Our Machinist is primarily responsible for applying proper troubleshooting, diagnostic and corrective steps in the repair of parts, components and systems within Caterpillar and allied products. Pay: $22.23/hr. to $50.73/hr. Benefits: Tool Reimbursement Work Boot Reimbursement Prescription Safety Glasses Reimbursement Uniforms and Cleaning Services Paid Annual Training Long-term Incentive Program 401(k) with Matching Paid Holidays Paid Time Off Paid Parental Leave Dependent Care Account HSA / FSA Options Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance Life / AD&D / Short-Term Disability / Long-Term Disability Insurance Company Laptop for Troubleshooting and Ordering Parts Clearly Defined Path of Progression for Technical Advancement Job duties: Fabricate, maintain and repair metal objects through the operation of lathes, shapers, planers, milling machines, drill presses, hydraulic presses and similar equipment Measure work carefully by using precision tools such as a micrometer Perform milling and lathe work on equipment such as pumps, valves, pistons, shafts or other equipment Calculate and set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines Measure, examine and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations. Our Ideal Candidate: Able to solve practical problems and offer innovative solutions to unique problems General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, diagnostic software, cranes and rigging equipment Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Basic mechanical knowledge including electrical and hydraulics Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications What will put you ahead: Familiarity with machining equipment and various shop hand and electric tools Manual lathe and milling experience Stable work history One year of experience as a skilled machinist and completion of a recognized machinist apprenticeship program, or three years of experience as a skilled machinist About Foley Equipment: Foley Industries - Foley Equipment, Foley Power Solutions, Foley Rental and SITECH Central - enters its ninth decade of empowering progress for customers in Kansas and Western Missouri.
