Behavioral Health Therapist I

Inova Kellar Center Fairfax is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist I to join the Partial Hospitalization Program team. This role will be full-time day shift from (M-W-Thur 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Tues/Fri 10:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.).

Behavioral Health Therapist I Job Responsibilities:

* Provides a range of mental health and/or substance use disorders therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
* May participate in inpatient and community psychoeducational programs, facilitate support groups for specified disease processes related to mental health, medical diagnosis, chronic or life-limited illnesses while assisting with community outreach.
* Duties will be performed under the clinical supervision of an approved clinical supervisor.

Additional Requirements:

* Work schedule: M-W-Thur 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Tues/Fri 10:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
* Education: Master's degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in mental health, social work, counseling, psychology, or behavioral health-related field
* Experience: Internship in mental health or substance use disorder treatment completed within 90 days of employment.
* Certification: Basic Life Support Within 3 Months. CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention, receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire.
