Description

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our team! This position will perform advanced accounting functions and serve in a lead capacity within the finance department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  1. Perform and/or review daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations and general ledger transactions for assigned companies on various balance sheet accounts.
  2. Assist the Accounting Managers with questions and research related to month end analysis.
  3. Assist with quarterly and annual SEC filings, including 10-Q and 10-K and earnings release as assigned.
  4. Assist with weekly, quarterly, and annual regulatory filings, including FR 2644, FR 2900, and call report.
  5. Participate in high-level projects, including but not limited to stock compensation, mortgage sub servicer accounting, fixed asset accounting, and investment accounting.


Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of accounting or related experience in banking or other financial services industry.
