General Information: The Office of Residence Life at James Madison University is accepting applications for graduate Hall Director. The Office of Residence Life is committed to designing and maintaining a caring environment that encourages academic success, respect, personal growth, and responsibility to one's community. Duties and Responsibilities: Leadership, Management, and Supervision - Directly supervise 6 to 9 Resident Advisers (RAs). Manage hall staff performance, student development, student leadership, student conduct, and hall community engagement. Provide written performance evaluations twice per year for RAs. Implement check-in and check-out procedures. Qualifications: - must be enrolled as a JMU graduate student for the 2025-2026 academic year Additional Posting Information: Successful candidates will be expected to move on campus July 26, 2025 and be present for all of the Hall Director and RA training sessions and move in processes. Conditions of Employment: Students may apply to a graduate assistantship prior to being accepted into a graduate program.
