Job Summary
This position is responsible to assist with the completion of engineering projects, product transfers, or design transfers in a manufacturing facility. Supports daily operations of the Product/Sustaining Engineering team through analysis, recommendation, implementation and follow-up concerning engineering projects designed to increase or improve design for manufacturing, capacity, or quality of the product.
Responsibilities
1) Provide analysis into non-conforming parts from production and from field returns 2) Coordinate and resolve design and part related issues that may impact production throughput and line yield targets 3) Work closely with supply chain, manufacturing and engineering groups to drive continuous improvement activities pertaining to product quality initiatives. 4) Participate in quality activities including incoming inspections, non-conformance management, First Article inspections, and evaluating suppliers' process and product change requests 5) Develop receiving inspection plans of fabricated and custom assemblies (QIP) 6) Applies accepted engineering practices to assigned daily tasks and projects. 7) Develop and deploy the processes for Change Control administration and Product Change Requests at Warrendale production unit. 8) Supports more senior level engineers in assigned analysis, testing, test protocol / test report writing 9) Other assigned task Requirements
