Work Schedule: Temporary, this position will start approximately mid-June and end approximately mid-July. As a Temporary Technical Trades Instructor, you'll... The Technical Trades Instructor supports Tessera's Technical Trades skills-based education program within the organization and in the community. With direction and guidance from the Technical Trades Workforce Development Manager, the Technical Trades Instructor will develop and maintain Technical Trades specific training curriculum that align with Tessera's mission of "Creating Opportunities for People with Disabilities". The Technical Trades Instructor will teach both youth, ages 16-18, and adults, the necessary basic skills for facilities maintenance work, in the fields of HVAC, Electric, Plumbing, Construction, and other general maintenance skills. This individual will guide students in developing practical skills through hands-on projects, teaching them about tools, safety, and workplace soft skills concepts such as professionalism, work ethic, communication techniques and use of technology in the workplace.
