Job Description: Summary: This person will work on projects with a diverse team of engineers and scientists, completing water-resources-related technical assignments. Project work may include hydrologic, hydrogeologic, and hydraulic analysis related to water supply and aquifer storage and recovery; water-quality analysis in mining, urban, and/or rural settings; preparation of technical reports, plans, and specifications; groundwater modeling; review of clients' projects related to water rights; and working with clients, permitting agencies, and public officials. Assignments may also include involvement with, or supervision of, project teams involved in hydrologic/hydraulic, groundwater, or water-quality modeling; designing investigations for the collection of hydrogeological field data; ASR/MAR studies and implementation; well-siting studies and operational groundwater issues; and GIS and CAD work. The ideal candidate is comfortable as a team member or a leader of multidisciplinary project teams (e.g., geochemists, hydrogeologists, hydrologists, geologists, engineers) tackling complex water resources challenges. The work may involve short-term, out-of-town assignments in the field or another office. Minimum Qualifications:

A hybrid or remote work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office; a remote arrangement refers working primarily from a home office. This position can be based out of Barr's Salt Lake City, Utah, office. Remote arrangements will be considered based on candidate qualifications, location requirements, and Barr's needs. NOTE: Some work locations may feature rough terrain typical of construction sites and may also require entering and working in facilities that include limited accessibility, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of industrial facilities. Job assignments may involve work on waste disposal sites and sites requiring cleanup of hazardous materials. An OSHA-mandated physical exam may be required. Safety training will be provided.
