Clinical Education and Training Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

This role is focused on the maintenance of tools and resources to better train and educate our surgical repair (SER) team.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the daily monitoring and student maintenance for the certification preparation classes. This would include promoting student through the levels, facilitating badges/certificates, addressing student issues, facilitating student enrollment, initiating contact for user issues or progress difficulties, and forwarding technical inquiries to education.

  • Maintain, track, and submit all CE accreditation renewals and updates for IAHCSMM, CBSPD, and the California Board of Nursing.

  • Track, complete, and mail physical CE certificates to attendees of live presentations and guidebook work completion.

  • Support graphic design and rebranding efforts for all SER related integration efforts for the larger Agiliti Marketing team.

  • Support the creation of in-service tools and posters for special events or on-site promotion.

  • Support the creation of education presentations (photos, etc.) prior to the final presentation completion by Agiliti Marketing

  • All other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong capability for creation of learning and development tools, experience in all levels training.

  • Travel management, planning and organization

  • Customer service

  • Good public speaker and strong writing proficiency

  • Power Point presentation creation

  • Judgment and decision-making

  • Knowledge of learning design and the ADDIE process

  • Knowledge and experience with a learning management system (LMS), preferably Cornerstone

  • Expertise with MS Office

  • Strong time management and project management skills - with a focus on subject matter

  • Familiarity surgical procedures, terminology, and instruments/devices

  • Basic principles of asepsis

  • Able to navigate clinical areas in a way that is compliant with local facility policies and respectful of patient privacy

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree or relevant experience

  • Ability to produce quality products and maintain credibility with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

As a Clinical Education and Training Specialist, employee must be able to:

  • May be required to sit, stand, and drive for long periods of time as well as being able to bend and reach repetitively.
