Women's Health Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - OB/GYN

Primary: 8:00am-4:30pm; Secondary: 8:30am-5:00pm

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner practices under the clinical supervision of the Medical Director of the Clinic, Administrative Supervisor or Practice Supervisor, demonstrates competency and efficiency in the care of the OBGYN patient. This position demonstrates competency in assessing, diagnosing and treating the OBGYN patient in accordance with delineation of privileges; Demonstrates "strong" ability to organize and prioritize patient care activities; Selects and interprets laboratory and diagnostic testing; Communicates medical assessment and plan to patient and attending physician; Completes medical record documentation in a timely manner; and assumes outpatient clinic visits as required. The primary responsibilities will be outpatient clinic based to include hospital support of discharges, admissions, non-invasive testing and daily collaboration with all OBGYN.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Skills Required:
1. Licensed as a New York State Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
2. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
3. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) privileges required.
4. Previous experience in Women's Healthcare required.
