Opportunity at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center: Join the Lima Lab as a Senior Research Technician

As a Senior Research Technician in the Lima Lab, you will play a critical role in the discovery of mechanistic insights into protein regulation and RNA processing.

Role Overview:

  • Laboratory Support: Prepare and maintain lab equipment, instruments, solutions, stains, assays, and other essential supplies.
  • Techniques & Assays: Perform specialized techniques, such as tissue culture, cell separation, electrophoresis, protein purification, TIA, ELISA, making and maintaining plasmid stocks, making and maintaining competent cell lines.
  • Data Management: Record and analyze research data, prepare reports, and provide insights to the research team. Maintain database records for chemicals.
  • Compliance: Ensure the lab remains compliant with safety standards, legal regulations, licensing and accreditation requirements.
  • Collaboration: Assist peers and more senior researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience.
  • Basic laboratory skills.
  • Experience in mammalian cell culture.
  • Preparing and maintaining plasmid stocks.
  • This position is ideally suited for candidates able to commit to at least two years, given the depth of training and long-term nature of the projects.

Pay Range: $31.44 - $48.77 FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
