What You'll Do



  • Design, implement, and maintain PLC-, industrial PC-, and robot-controlled automation systems
  • Integrate servos, gantries, and motion feedback systems into automated equipment
  • Support and enhance machine-vision systems used for cable inspection and alignment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve controls-related issues using structured diagnostic methods
  • Develop and validate safety-critical controls, including interlocks and fail-safe logic
  • Lead equipment commissioning, trials, testing, and acceptance processes
  • Collaborate on fixture design, guarding needs, and risk-reduction engineering
  • Analyze downtime trends and develop equipment improvement strategies
  • Create and maintain documentation such as wiring diagrams, PLC archives, and O&M standards
  • Update Standard Procedure Instruction Manuals (SPIMs) to reflect new automation deployments
  • Partner with the Training & Certification team to ensure accurate operator training content
  • Train operators and technicians on automation systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Identify opportunities to reduce operator dependency and enhance production throughput
  • Support installation and implementation of new automation projects
  • Perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned



What You Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Mechatronics, or related field preferred
  • (3+ years of industrial automation experience may be considered instead)
  • Strong PLC and motion-control programming experience (Allen-Bradley or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience integrating cameras, sensors, and industrial networking solutions
  • Proficiency with mechanical interfaces, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with project-based automation installations strongly preferred
  • Tooling experience and process-improvement mindset are a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operators, technicians, engineers, and leadership
  • Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement tools preferred
  • Must be willing to work any shift as needed to support production
  • Must pass a Fit-for-Duty physical
  • Local candidates only; relocation or remote work is not available
  • This position requires an experienced professional; new graduates are not being considered



Hours & Pay



  • Compensation: $120,000 annually
  • Bonus: 6% annual bonus
  • Schedule: Full-time onsite; flexibility required to support manufacturing needs
