Create high-quality surfaces, solids, GD&T, and fastening strategies using CATIA V6. Manage component and subsystem data within Enovia PLM and CATIA environments. Ensure geometric, dimensional, and packaging requirements are met for each program milestone. Partner closely with studio design, advanced engineering, packaging, manufacturing, and suppliers to develop optimal solutions. Champion best-practice design principles for interior systems and vehicle-wide engineering. Support continuous improvement by contributing to design standards and methodologies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (required). 5+ years of experience designing interior trim, interior systems, and automotive interior components. Expert proficiency in CATIA V6, including complex part modeling, robust tree structure management, links, and publications. Ability to work efficiently within complex 3D packaging environments. Strong understanding of interior manufacturing processes such as wrapping, injection molding, compression molding, painting, and trimming. Knowledge of structural component manufacturing: stamping, extrusion, casting, etc. Solid understanding of GD&T for part, assembly, gap/flush, and customer requirements. Experience using CAD methodologies, slab models, knowledge-based engineering, and study files. Familiarity with engineering analysis tools and computational design workflows. Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills. Prior launch experience and demonstrated tenacity in driving projects to completion. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. Preferred Traits Highly creative, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven.
