Brake Repair Mechanic

• Come join our team! We currently have a possible Temp-to-Perm opportunity in Westminster, MD for a Brake Repair Mechanic to assist in the repair or overhaul of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment for rail cars.

• The Brakes Repair Mechanic assists in the repair or overhaul of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure compliance with company's rules and policies.
• Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines, and regulations.
• Must understand and comply with applicable standards. (i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and CMMI).
• Maintain and safeguard business records.
• Clean dirt and grease from machines and equipment, such as compressors, brake equipment, and associated valves, using cleaning solutions, rags, vacuum systems, high pressure wash, or dry ice blasting equipment.
• Inform supervisor of any part or equipment defects noted during the cleaning process.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment as instructed.
• Provide support and assistance to other technicians and team members, as directed, and any other duties as assigned by the Cell Leader or Sr. Personnel

• Strong hand tool knowledge as this role is hands on and dirty.
• Experience working on cars, changing brakes or oil works well in this role.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
