An industry-leading medical technology innovator is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a high-impact, 12-month project (with the potential to extend). This role supports the integration of newly acquired urology technologies into a world-class product portfolio-making it an exceptional opportunity for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of design validation, test method optimization, and regulatory compliance.

In this hands-on engineering role, you will assess, validate, refine, and document test methods to ensure full compliance with internal standards and medical device regulations. Working closely with senior subject matter experts, you'll help shape the successful integration of breakthrough medical technologies into next-generation solutions.

Hours & Pay



  • Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Hourly Rate: $55.00 per hour



What You'll Do



  • Identify gaps in test method validation compliance and propose strategies to meet internal Work Instructions and SOPs.
  • Assess acquired test methods to determine whether additional validation testing is required.
  • Execute appropriate testing or provide documentation to justify test method adequacy.
  • Communicate technical risks, progress updates, deliverable status, and recommended revisions to project leadership.
  • Complete advanced engineering assignments, including new test method design, verification testing, and statistical analysis.
  • Support engineering activities such as technology development, design refinement, material testing, process evaluation, and report creation.
  • Evaluate the feasibility, effectiveness, and soundness of engineering processes or equipment.
  • Produce clear, concise, high-quality engineering documentation.
  • Contribute to the development and integration of medical device technologies with meaningful impact.




What You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electromechanical, or related engineering field (Master's preferred).
  • 4+ years of engineering experience with a bachelor's degree, or 2+ years with a master's degree.
  • Required experience with Windchill and Test Method Validation.
  • Strong mechanical and/or systems engineering fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to synthesize technical information from multiple sources and provide recommendations.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
  • High personal accountability, strong follow-through, and a bias for action.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Availability to work onsite at least 3 days per week at the Arden Hills, MN facility.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with IEC 14708, IEC 45502, IEC 60601, or related active implantable medical device standards.
  • Familiarity with test method validation for active implantable or single-use devices.
  • Experience performing statistical analyses such as Gauge R&R and Process Capability Studies, ideally using Minitab.
  • Strong cross-functional relationship-building skills.
