Commodity Specialist - Onsite (Hercules, CA) Schedule: Monday - Friday \| (8 AM - 5 PM) Contract: 6 months Pay: Up to $50/hr. About the Role: Join the team as a Commodity Specialist, supporting critical sourcing activities that keep scientific and medical products moving. You'll help manage supplier relationships, track market trends, support new product development, and ensure materials meet cost, quality, and compliance requirements. This is a great role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, cross-functional teamwork, and driving results in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Lead and manage projects across varying scopes and complexities. Apply wide-ranging purchasing and supply chain expertise to resolve complex issues. Execute sourcing and supply strategies in partnership with site teams. Manage and support supplier relationships, including escalations and performance concerns. Participate in building and maintaining the Approved Vendor List (AVL), compliance tracking, and contract spend management. Support supplier business continuity, cost-reduction efforts, and material transitions. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, sales, supply chain, or a related area. Project management experience. Strong understanding of purchasing principles and supply chain practices. Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and multitasking skills.
