MiG Welder/Fitter - Manufacturing Location: Leola, PA Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Industry: Metal Fabrication / Manufacturing Pay Rate: $26-30/hr Schedule: 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. (Evening Shift) Overview Our client, a fast-paced and growing metal fabrication facility, is seeking an experienced MiG Welder/Fitter to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for a certified welder/fabricator with a strong background in manufacturing-particularly metals-to contribute to a high-performing team and grow within a stable organization. What We're Looking For We're seeking candidates who bring: A positive, team-oriented attitude The ability to work in a physically demanding environment A strong desire for continuous improvement Proven experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in metal fabrication A commitment to safety, quality, and craftsmanship Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and measurements Layout, fit, and weld components according to specifications Verify layout accuracy and assist in quality checks for other fabricators Perform welding tasks using MiG techniques with precision and consistency Maintain equipment in safe, working condition Communicate production or quality issues promptly Document work and ensure conformity to job specifications Participate in maintaining a clean and safe work environment Required Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid welding certification preferred (AWS D1.1 highly desirable or ability to pass certification) Proven experience as a welder/fitter in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Proficient in reading tape measures and interpreting blueprints and weld symbols Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with welding machinery and manual tools Ability to build fittings and fixtures from drawings Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a constant state of alertness Additional Information This role requires standing, lifting, and working in a physically active environment Candidates must adhere to company attendance and safety policies Opportunities for long-term placement and career growth available for the right candidate After you have applied, download our Staffmark Group WorkNOW App to receive real-time job offers and apply for additional opportunities.
