We're seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support attorneys and litigation teams with a wide range of legal responsibilities. This role involves substantive legal research, case analysis, and hands-on involvement throughout the litigation process. The ideal candidate exercises strong judgment, works independently, and has a solid understanding of laws, regulations, and legal procedures. Responsibilities
  • Analyze legislative developments, administrative actions, and judicial decisions to assess legal impact.
  • Conduct research for legal opinions and provide substantive analysis for information requests under various statutory provisions.
  • Review and evaluate case files for litigation readiness, including determining applicable laws.
  • Identify and gather additional information, evidence, and witnesses through surveys, interviews, site visits, and record reviews.
  • Assess relevance and value of evidence to support case strategy.
  • Compile and summarize comparative data to identify patterns or potential legal violations.
  • Review national and regional economic trends to support litigation strategy and potential remedies.
  • Examine and interpret various record-keeping systems, including digital databases, to gather relevant data.
  • Interview and prepare witnesses for court appearances.
  • Develop and analyze statistical data (e.g., standard deviations, regressions, weighting); prepare charts, graphs, and tables for litigation use.
  • Draft recommendations and provide ongoing support to attorneys throughout case development and trial.
  • Maintain custody of exhibits, documents, and case files.
  • Potentially appear in court to testify about exhibits or evidence prepared.

Shift: Monday - Friday in office (no overtime)
