Overview
The Sales Representative/account representative for MFA Oil's APM Department is responsible for developing and securing new customers and providing all necessary customer service required by assigned customers. MFA Oil Company is an Equal Opportunity/Drug-Free Employer.
Responsibilities
- Make sales calls and actively work to secure new customers; direct 60-70% of time and efforts to active sales calls and prospecting.
- Be knowledgeable about all APM branded programs and unbranded program options.
- Secure all relevant information needed from prospective sites for management to develop proposals and present proposals to prospects.
- Secure all relevant signed contract/documents from customers and/or prospects.
- Understand technical documents as related to fuels and lubricants.
- Work directly with the Sr. APM Sales Manager to develop strategies to meet customer needs or secure new customers.
- Present positive image as the APM specialist on sales.
- Adhere to all local, state and federal regulations concerning all facets of job responsibilities and duties.
- All MFA Oil employees are expected to know and adhere to company and position specific policies and procedures. While this job description contains the primary duties of the position, employees may be expected to perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or at least three years of experience in sales
- Overall knowledge of company operations and products
- Ability to work independently, and to set priorities and goals and develop plans for achieving them
- Must have good public relations skills, and the ability to communicate well with customers, prospective customers, and coworkers
- Ability to motivate others in the importance of product quality compliance
- Valid/current driver's license
- Frequent travel throughout the organization's footprint. May require occasional overnight stays
- Must meet Company requirements, including successful background and MVR check, and drug test
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
