This position is represented by the Teamsters Bargaining Unit. The Promotional Priority Period for current Teamster applicants: 12/05/2025 - 12/12/2025. Building and Grounds Workers are assigned to routines that are either day shifts or afternoon shifts. Day shift hours vary by routine, but can be between the hours of 4:30 am and 4:30 pm. Afternoon shift hours also vary by routine, but can be between the hours of 1 pm and 12:30 am. Qualifications
Ability to understand verbal and read written instructions competently in English and write legible notes to report building problems, and to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height, with or without reasonable accommodation. About the Department
