III, Exercise Science Program

The University of New
Mexico (UNM), located in Albuquerque, is the state's flagship public research
university. The Exercise Science program, housed within the Department of
Health, Exercise & Sports Sciences in the College of Education and Human
Sciences, invites
applications for a Lecturer III position in Exercise Science beginning August
2026.

Responsibilities: The
successful candidate will be expected to teach a 4/4 course load per academic
year. These courses, offered in the scheduled rotation within the Exercise
Science program, include but are not limited to: Fundamentals in Exercise
Physiology; Introduction to Exercise Science; Sports Physiology; T. Strength
Training Concepts and Applications; Advanced Exercise Physiology; Metabolic
Considerations for Exercise Science. It is also expected that they will provide
service to the program, department, college, university, and community.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
1. Doctorate
in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or a closely related field by
the appointment start date.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience teaching undergraduate courses in Exercise Science or a related field.
2. Experience teaching graduate courses in Exercise Science or a related field.
3. A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of
the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
